Meet The Family
Mother Hen (Ashley MoreNO)
I was born and raised in Arizona. I spent a large part of my childhood in a rural town called Rio Verde where the four houses on our dirt road were the only ones for miles. I was lucky enough to have the whole desert as my playground! Watching coyotes play and giving my mother a near heart attack by petting the local javelina was all in a day's fun.
During my childhood and beyond, my mother worked at a place called Camelot, where she taught horsemanship to people who have disabilities. It was a magical place filled with horses and chickens, but also compassion and love. It's thanks to the ranch that I became the animal lover I am today.

The first chick in the nest
In Arizona, I became the proud mother of a feisty little girl whom we affectionately call Maizie Moo. Shortly after she turned two, her father and I decided on a couple of things. The first was that we didn't want to raise our children in the city. The second was that while the desert has its own beauty, we needed greenery.
We decided to take a leap of faith in the universe and throw our rental applications at different states to which we'd never travelled to and see where we were meant to land.
Onward to Oregon & The welcoming of two more chicks!
By a million stars aligning just right, we were lucky enough to move to Pleasant Hill, Oregon! Through the help of our amazing neighbors and their farm, I've been blessed to learn more about farming and the animals on their property. I found my passion and started Mother Hen's Nest Sitting Services in 2021. With each passing year, I've been fortunate to work with a wide variety of animals and go on so many adventures! One of the greatest ones, however, was adding two more chicks to my nest! I welcomed twin boys, Azel and Jules in late 2023. Since then I've retained regular clients but closed my books to new ones temporarily. Now that the boys are a bit older, I'm ready to welcome in new clientele again!

Visit The Nest
As mentioned previously, it's my goal to create and maintain lasting relationships. Every client has a certain way that they want things done and I'm happy to take the time to learn. By the time you're ready to leave on vacation, I want us both to feel confident that everything is done to your liking, this may take one visit or a few but the best part is that these visits are FREE!
Fly Away
Now you have peace of mind that your nest is treated with the love and care it deserves! You'll never have to wonder how things are going, I give updates at least once a visit. If I ever have a question or if I see any behavior in an animal that could be abnormal, I will contact you. It's always better to be safe than sorry. No one knows your animals better than you!
